Missing Vision
Where is my 2-rounded blue frames of glasses when I need it badly? For the past few days, I have been suffering the agony of strained and unbearably dry eyes. I have been searching high and low for it.Since Sec 3 student, I had been diagnosised with lazy eyes. It upset me that I had to wear the spectacles.When I was a little girl, perfect 20/20 vision, I saw some of my classmates wearing spectacles. I thought that it was hippie! I told my mom that I want to wear spectacles. She refused and said that it will make me look un-hippie. The prospects of looking ugly freaked me out!
Over the time, my perception of spectacles have changed. Spectacles were becoming more fashionable and accepted as pretty and cool accessories. My first pair of spectacles was gold-rimmed and the second one, brown and plastic frames. Now my third and missing pair is blue and same plastic frames. Although I am cool with spectacles, I toyed with the smitten idea abt wearing contact lens,even coloured ones a few times. But lens can be hurting too! Heard that it will dehydrate the eyes if wear too long.
May Heaven help me to find my spectacles!
