My favourite photo of me amid yellow chairs. She looked so young as 16 years old. But no, she was not. She was 18 years old, studying Electrical Engineering in Ngee Ann Poly. So cute and innocent-looking.
Yup, that is rite, babe! You rock Ngee Ann Poly and boys too for sure! Babe!
How to Ace Interview?
This afternoon, one guy shared his bag of tricks with me how to ace interivews.
Guy: A great personality will help to ace the interivew. Talk thru the interview with a great personality. Charm him! I got my first job in XXX cos the boss likes me and my works too.
Jorena: Oh yeah, true that the personality carries a lot of weight. But come to think, if the person with a great personality but medicore skills is hired, later on the boss discovers that he cannot make a great asset towards the company at all cos he cannot do it except talk crap and trashy stuff.
Guy: Hmm...true...*Nodding his head* Yup, the people with real skills can afford to be assholes.
I think that Guy is right partially. Thinking from a boss's perspective, if I were a boss, the interesting and pro-active people will have caught my eye more than other people who make boring...yawn...tears-induced.....talk.
I observed that these kinds of people ace interivews more easily and cool!
My friend who has business charisma (yes, she does have. She is born with that. She loves to dress up like a biz woman. Not only that, she is quite pro-active that she is naturally inclined to talk well.) is hired as biz analyst during her first interview with the company, I think so. But hey,I am not suggesting that she got the job cos of her talking skills. I believe that her biz charmisa carries some points too.
My good friend lamented to me that his good friend gets jobs easily just cos he knows how to talk and charm bosses as well.
I think that it is good to talk, charm and blast the boss off if you have real good skills and are very confident of making the boss love you more for your contributions towards the company.
But still the qn of pullling this nasty trick on clueless bosses ( only the smart bosses can tell the difference between phoney and truly master of skills.) - do you think that it is good or bad?
Suffering from Writer's Block
Indeed, it is not my style to write daily happenings like "I finished my 3D animation course 2 weeks ago", "I have been very busy with my projects", "I saw a cute guy in my class" and blah...etc on my blog. Man, it is not my style! But I was so busy with my projects that I couldn't spare a morsel of time to sit down and muse on what to write on my blog. On other hand, I want to keep my blog alive. Dun want to leave it motionless for too long. Heeheehee. So I quickly typed the daily happenings without summarising it. This is called express blogging in my own terms. Hahahaha. Now, I have never blogged anything very beefy and serious for a long time and am suffering from writer's block.

Okay, it is cleared up.
Unhappines with NKFLast nite, I learnt from my social worker friend that many people in social work line know abt NKF's extravagant and dishonest deeds for a long time already. What! They know abt it and yet we dun know abt it till recently. Well, when I think of the NKF case, I get displeased and upset with Durai and Mrs Goh. He is misappropriating people's gracious donations made out of goodwill/kindness for his own profits. When we see wrenching sights of people suffering on tv, our hearts are broken and we weep for them. Out of kindness, we donate money to help them as well as to lessen their financial burdens. And yet he takes our money to live very comfortably while we slave/groan abt our Monday blues just to put bread on table. We are satisfied with our silver taps as long as it can bring clean water to our homes and wash grease/dirt away on our hands till sparklingly clean. And yet he takes our money to buy gold tap just to enjoy lavish 5-star comforts. Do he need it??? He has his own bathroom in his office. Gold tap. 6 cars. $25,000 monthly salary. 10-12 mths' bonus. So it is as good as misappropriating our donations for his own profits while he showers in his own office and sits there and earns our money from us. Why is he not taken to courts for that? That is maddening!!! Alternatively,take back his ill-gotten money, strip him away of his gold tap, cars and whatever is used by our money. That will justify our wrath.
I dun have anything very grievious and long to say abt Mrs Goh. But like others, I am not happy with her. She can afford to say that $600,000 is peanuts to her but not to us. Has she ever spare a thought abt it?How many years will it take us to save this sum? We will only have that sum in our CPF by the time we retire. By then, our hair will have turned silver. See, it will take many donkey years to save this sum.
Final Version of Wonderwoman
Phew! I am done with my Wonderwoman after making changes on her face for the past few days. The deadline is by this week but I dun think that I can finish. So many things to do - model buildings, facial expressions, animate and finally composite.

A Sneak Preview of my Wonderwoman
These past 2 weeks, I was so busy and stressed modelling my action character - Wonderwoman. I drank coffee, chicken essence and ate ice-cream often ( Normally, I dun eat ice-cream so often. I do it once in a blue moon. )to keep alive throughout my project. It was not easy modelling ears and eyes. It took me many frustrated hours of doing ears before I managed to do it the next day. Hey, I am not kidding or bluffing you.
Now, I am more or less done with it but I am not satisifed throughly. Anyway, I will let you have a sneak preview of my Wonderwoman.
Disclaimer - It does not translate to as what you think "Ah....so awful. The lip is so red. So ugly. The eyebrows are not balanced evenly. The top of the head is so ugly shaped that Beckham's head surpasses her. What happened to her hair? Why no hair?"
But hey, I am not done with it entirely. I am still doing it. It is 2 weeks and yet I am doing it. So shameful and embarassing of me.
As to the last question abt no hair, well.....orginally, I modelled the hair but decided to do away with it. It was really awful and ugly. It does not look good on my Wonderwoman. Anyway, she looks incredibly sporty, chic and great without hair.
